PRIVATE TEACHING

A passionate advocate for youth music and education Litsa is renowned for her inspirational work as an educator and string tutor. Litsa’s teaching influences stem from the expert guidance she received from her former mentors Dr Felix Andrievsky and Professor Maurice Hasson who fostered her love of teaching and helped inspire her unique pedagogical methods.

Litsa’s energetic and positive approach has led to teaching appointments at some of the most prestigious schools across the UK and overseas. She is currently string tutor at the Surrey County Orchestra and has coached for Malta Philharmonic Youth Orchestra Academy and the Antigua and Barbuda Youth Symphony Orchestra. Litsa trained at the Royal College of Music where she was awarded a 1st Class Bachelor of Music honours degree and at the Royal Academy of Music where she was awarded her MA in performance with distinction and an honorary DipRAM for excellence. She also went on to study as an International Artist at the Royal Northern College of Music where she was the Dorothy Stone Scholar. Litsa now combines her international performance career with a busy roster of private teaching at her home music school based in Reigate Surrey. Many of Litsa’s students are past and present members of Pro Corda, National Youth Orchestra and National Children’s Orchestra and have studied at specialist schools including the Purcell School and the Yehudi Menuhin School.
